Biography

This is long. I know. But I am a storyteller and once I start I can't help myself, so I've decided to share my journey in an entertaining way so you can get to know me a little better. Enjoy!

Ariana is an actress, writer, creator y mucho más... as she likes to say.

She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. From a young age Ariana was a creative and artistic soul, given her European descent from Portugal and Spain her artistry showed itself first through Flamenco, which she danced for 8 years. To this day she believes it to be one of the most beautiful artforms. As the natural performer she is, she then started singing and music classes. Ariana also performed in plays such as Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and Finding Nemo. At the age of 18, when it came time to decide what career to pursue she realized that her favorite part of singing was performing the song, exploring its meaning and the story behind it, and that's how she realized that 'acting' the song was what she enjoyed the most. So at 18 years old, she moved to New York City to study acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, one of the top ten performing art schools in the world.

Little fun fact to add to this part of her journey, a year before her parents had sent her to a summer acting course for 2 weeks in the hopes that she would maybe realized she didn't like it as much and she would pursue something else, but on the contrary, she fell even more in love with it, and to this day Ariana calls acting her first and forever love. (Her parents are now very happy she chose this life and are extremely supportive. For real)

Upon graduating with an Associates's Degree in 2015, Ariana was cast in The Pilgrim's Progress performing in the off-broadway Theatre 315. (She also was hired as the fight choreographer for the show. Thanks to her extensive in Stage Combat at AMDA, a passion she discovered and still pursues). In this play, she worked closely with recognized choreographer Laura Danette. She also did an Improv show at the Broadway Comedy Club in Times Square under the direction of Richard Alan Chen.

Ariana has a thirst for knowledge so she moved to Los Angeles to keep exploring her craft and practicing. She graduated with honors from AMDA College and Conservatory for the Performing Arts with a BFA in Performing Arts, Acting. During her time there she performed in many plays, one of her biggest challenges and most fond memory is interpreting Sabina in The Skin of Our Teeth by Thorton Wilder.

She is a proud member of 24th St. Theatre Company, where she performs in the play Enter Stage Right under the direction of award-winning director and producer Debbie Devine.

She has starred in a variety of short films that have been selected and recognized in multiple festivals. Most recently the film Keeping Eachother Out, an official selection at AAHSF. And the film Polly Pocket, which has been selected to 18 film festivals and has won multiple awards including Honorable Mention at the Short+Sweet Hollywood Festival and LAFA Best Actress.

Some of Ariana's media credits are the hit music video Il Tuo Profumo by Italian singer Fred De Palma and superstar Sofia Reyes; How To be Uncool video produced by SoulPancake and narrated by Rainn Wilson; and The Opportunity Kickstarter video.

Ariana has also worked on multiple stage productions. At the Short+Sweet Latino Theatre Festival in Hollywood performing in two plays, My Sisters and Edipo Clown. The latter was voted by the audience as a favorite and got selected for the Finals of the Festival. Another recognized production she was a part of was About...Production's, Evangeline, The Queen of Make-Believe. Presented at the iconic Plaza de la Raza. Created by Theresa Chavez, Rose Portillo, and Loui Perez; featuring music from Los Lobos.

Currently, Ariana is working on her creative side (aside from auditioning and performing). She is developing this new passion for writing, or more specifically, "trying to jot down all the ideas I have on my brain to be able to develop them with other creators and artists" as she puts it.
